YES, that´s what I meant !!!

If it is patented, then you get the plants, for they want to get the money from the plants sold !

I think you got it wrong.
I see no problem with patent, as soon as some nursery in Italy decide to buy rights to propagate it, it will be available.
And yes, it is free to propagate it in USA for now - BUT Rolling Eyes they do not have the budwood Idea Wink

No, I got it right.
The reply of that CRA guy, that it is patented and therefore not available in Italy is nonsense.
He might have say: Not yet, that would have made sense.
Besides he knows Marc is not Italian, so why not tell where else he can get it ???

As far as I understand there is some budwood exchange with Riverside ...

You got it wrong.
And about Riverside,
I am not sure, but I think, that I saw somewhere something like, that the future of Riverside collection is not certain, because of lack of money, so maybe they have different problems, than looking for budwood of ornamental tree from Europe right now.

The CRA guy sais they applied for a patent and, therefore, it is not yet available in italian nurseries.

It will just be a matter of time, we'll have to be patient! Wink
