Hmmm... I didn't know... I don't know where exactly I cut it... we'll see how it turns out...

I got it on eBay...

Some magic box arrived in the mail today. It had "Oscar Tintori" written on it!
There was something green inside...
Popping out...
Looks like the tower of Pisa, squared...
And another one!
Tower of Pisa...
...appears to be...
The other one...
...a nice tarocco orange!
There were some fruits on the lemon plant. Unfortunately, they were fruits from the root stock, so I removed them...
The lemon plant will need some tidying up.
My wife was formal today... no more new plants! _________________ - Marc

Nice trees and I feel your pain. I'm on probation too! Luckily I've already got an order in for some trees from Laaz. |

...but I have to admit that she's right! There simply is no more room for new plants! It's ok as long as they are outside, but someday I have to take them inside again for almost half a year. That's where the trouble starts... _________________ - Marc

Marc, you must not be in too much trouble, it looks like your wife is at least willing to hold up the trees so you can take pictures!
My favorite is hearing about my $5/fruit Satsumas. Although this year, I may be down to around $1 per fruit on a couple of my trees after all costs (tree, shipping, fertilizer, etc..) are taken into account.
Radoslav, you are definitely going to get me in trouble, I wonder if there's any cheap empty land near me to put a nice greenhouse on... |

I'm the citrus collector in my house and it's my husband who protests in the winter about the jungle in my kitchen A strange thing happened this year, my husband bought me a citrus tree for mothers day and one for my birthday. We also joke about how much the fruit cost when it matures. I've tried talking him into building me a greenhouse but no luck so far but I'm thinking after this coming winter he might seriously think about it

That's a nice greenhous you have, Radoslav! I wish I had the room for that... Do you have to heat it during the winter months?
The price of a homegrown citrus fruit isn't just $5, it's invaluable! The fun one has from growing it is what counts!
My wife isn't against my plants. On the contrary, she makes a problem if I want to get rid of one to free up some space! _________________ - Marc

Yes I have. I am using electrical heater, but also have propan-butan heater on the place as a backup, in case of the failure of the first one. |

I repotted the 2 new plants today. Apparently the new pot of the tarocco is already a bit too small, so it will soon have to be repotted again...
Tarocco Tapi...
I adjusted the amalfi lemon so the main branch, that was almost growing horizontally, is now nearly in a vertical position. I trimmed away the weakest ends of the branches.
Limon Sfusato Amalfitano...
From another angle:

Nice ones! I see some citrus in the garden. Do you keep them outside during the night? _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Yes, all my plants are outside now, and they stay outside until it gets too cold. No problem as long as it doesn't freeze! _________________ - Marc

If the fruit you cut off came from that cut off branch on the left, that's not rootstock. I don't see where the rootstock sprouted at all.

Great looking Tarocco, I find they require a bit more pruning then some of my others to keep manageable. The foliage is a beautiful shade of dark green, time to re-pot soon |

The fruit was on the lemon plant, not the tarocco. It isn't visible in the pictures... _________________ - Marc
