I already repotted it, only to find that the new pot is already too small... _________________ - Marc

Doesn't that slow down growth enormous ? I keep them in the hallway quite a lot because of the colder weather lately. At night they go back inside because temperature gets as low as 10°C. When it's sunny and over 20°C I put them outside because I don't want the containers to cool down. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

It does slow down growth, but I find that the plants look healthier when they are kept outside. Besides, I don't want to move 20+ pots, some of which are rather heavy, outside and back inside every day. I also find that the pots warm up very fast when the sun shines _________________ - Marc

Perhaps I should consider throwing them out too. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

Sometimes when I go buy pots they seem very large at the store, but when I get back home it turns out they are barely larger than the pots the plants are already in...
Anyway, the size was ok for the lemon but the tarocco was already severely root bound in it's original container... _________________ - Marc

Inside they get more warmth, outside they get more light... Not sure what is best... _________________ - Marc

Trees usually grow outdoor.
Citruses are basically subtropical plants and our climate is not too far from mediterranean climate during summer, so it is healthy for them to stay outdoor. |

Indeed, they are outside during summer times but lately the weather has been to cold so I prefer to keep them inside during the night and on cloudy/cold days. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

I have well over a hundred potted citrus kept in the greenhouse October to April.
Starting May, they all get moved outside, beginning with the Poncirus hybrids and leaving the citrons until last. June, July, August everything is outside and they look much better than if I leave them in the greenhouse.
A few nights below 10C does no harm, and they love a bit of rain - although here it's often too much! Then I have to remove any pot saucers to allow better drainage. |

Another batch of pictures. Everything is flushing out again, new growth and new flowers. Unfortunately, by the time the new flowers have become young fruits, the plants will be moved inside again and all those young fruits will drop off...
Citrus latifolia... I was planning to remove this plant from my collection but then it is one of my best growing and producing plants, so I changed my mind again! I do not like limes very much though...
The one remaining bergamot fruit is still hanging around. I'm glad the plant is flushing out again. It is such a slow grower and the old leaves were becoming really ugly!
Kara mandarin... little change here...
Sanguinelli oranges...
Eustis limequat...
Sfusato Amalfitano lemon plant...
Yuzu looks very unhealthy... tap water issue?
Salustiana orange...
Etrog citron...
Meyer lemon...
Zara, the citrus guard dog
