I have found that Sorrento lemon can mean just about any lemon growing in that region.

				| Wow. Those must be pretty non-acidic to be able to eat them just with salt and pepper. I don't think I could do that. My grandmother could eat lemons this way, but I guess I'm just too wimpy to even try! Even the Sorrento lemon _________________

				| I ALWAYS eat the lemons purely like an orange, but ONLY when fully ripe and deep yellow !
Then they have also a marvelous aroma ...

Normal lemons like Eureka have 6 % acid and Amalfi only 3 %.

				| Oky, Sylvain, that makes much more sense. I know there are folks who like and can eat lemons raw. I am most certainly NOT one of those people. I like my citrus very sweet. _________________

				| Taste is different ...
The bitter of grapefruit makes me vomit, while many love it ...

				| I can eat a lemon or lime out of hand. But I'm not sure if my stomach likes that...

I like the bitterness of grapefruits also. But today's pink grapefruits aren't bitter at all.

I don't like citrus that is too sweet. You won't often see me eat mandarins for that reason. I only eat them if there's enough acid inside. Ditto for oranges. I'll be glad when winter is back because then oranges are best! _________________

				| I like sweet best ... cannot be too much ...
I like sour too, if it is not too extreme ... I just like it spicy and of course what I like most is the aroma ...
So Mandarines and Clementines are one of my besties ...

Spanish Oranges are already very good now ...

				| I think that is the great thing about citrus - there is something for everyone's palette. I love mandarins. All of them. But, I also enjoy that grapefruit taste as long as it's not too bitter. Which is why I like the Melogold, Oroblanco and Cocktail hybrids. As well as the newly released Valentine pummelo hybrid, which you can very clearly taste all 3 of the different varieties in its background, pummelo, blood orange and mandarin. Plus, it's such a pretty fruit as well. Something for everyone with citrus! _________________
