You have the luck that you don't need to put it all inside during the winter!
Actually I have two problems... 1st is having the room for all those plants. 2nd is... will they still fit inside when summer is over? Plants have a tendency to grow... _________________ - Marc

Pruning shears were invented for a reason. You should consider growing them in a bonsai form!
Now I'm serious... Once you don't want your tree to grow anymore, grab a pruning shears and a sharp knife, slip the tree out of the container and do some root, as well as top pruning. Trimming a couple of inches all the way around the root ball, with a sharp knife, is usually the best and most common practice. When you're done, simply plant your tree back into the same container, and fill in the hollows with some fresh soil mix, or with whichever medium you use... Just a tip, although it is a pretty substantial part of bonsai culture.

Of course I do prune the plants, although I do this as little as possible...
The two flowers on my mandared are now open. They are not well developed though. I don't think they'll develop into fruit.

Flower buds on my Mandared are still developing. I'll attribute that to the transport shock, as we are having some really warm weather, in the 80s (night high 50s) range, lately. Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully we'll get some fruit to set. |

Well it's not just us two anymore! I think we're now with at least five forum members who bought a mandared tree from the same source! I think Laaz should create a new rank "mandared owner" on the forum!
...and I think the seller should start giving discounts! _________________ - Marc

Mandared is triploid and its fertility is very low both ways. _________________ Best regards,
