Some of my plants have this sticky stuff on their leaves. My guess is this is plant sap oozing out. The plants that have it have had a scale infestation during the winter months. I sprayed the plants several weeks ago and the scales should be gone now. The ones that are still there are dead.
Still, it appears as if the plants are still leaking sap. A plant that was not infested with scales that I now put under a plant that used to be infested appears to be sprayed with sap from the other plant.
Should I be worried about this?
Some pictures...

Marc, it seems IlyaC is right... The horticultural oil, you sprayed a month ago, haven't done the job thoroughly...
Sometimes you'll need to make several applications of horticultural oil to keep the infestation under control.

The sticky stuff you mentioned is honeydew and is excerted by the scale.
That's why you happen to find it quite everywhere, even on the tree's foliage where infestation was not initially present.

Yes you may be right, I should use my glasses more often...
Stupid bugs!
I took a closer look at the original unresized picture. I think this makes it clear they are still there. But can these cause so much "leaking"?

That is just beautiful! You're lucky to enjoy their bloom indoors for a longer period of time.
So pity they last for a very very short time, when the temperatures are high. I don't even get to enjoy mine... |

That is true. But unfortunately there is hardly any smell from the flowers when they are inside, probably because the air is still. When I take a plant with flowers outside, all of the sudden that amazing perfume of citrus flowers emerges!
I guess you can't have everything... _________________ - Marc
