Well it must be a label from a very over zealous European company. If they do what you write, then to be consistant, they also should put a 21 day waiting period on cooking oils after a person purchases them from the supermarket. . - Millet |

Very nice pictures! I should really get a trifoliate...sprucing up the parents' garden. _________________ growing (at least trying): C. sinensis, C. latifolia, C. limon, C. mitis |

It's a good thing I already took those flying dragon fall pictures. We had severe stormy weather last night and this morning, and the flying dragon has lost many of it's leaves!
And now... mojito time!
Well, not quite, but I had some ripe tahiti limes and juiced them. The limes were small, so there wasn't a lot of juice. But the juice was good although very sour!
Three little limes...
...cut in half...
...and juiced!

Refreshing pics Marc, although I prefer harvesting limes once they turn bright green, with just a hint of yellow blush... |

Actually I didn't know they were that ripe already. Those fruits were hidden deep inside the canopy. It's because one dropped of by itself that I noticed! _________________ - Marc

I used to grow some Poncirus (FD), before I tossed them all out onto the compost pile. When I grew them they were kept inside a warm greenhouse during the winter (55F night). Would lose some leaves during the winter but never all of them. Without cold temperatures the remaining leaves never turn the beautiful coloration like marcV. - Millet |

Here's my harvest of poncirus fruit that I picked in the park this afternoon. It will be a fun job to obtain the seeds! The smell of the fruits as they are displayed here already makes me nauseous!

Have you ever had Poncirus tea? Ivica posted his recipe, just in case you're interested... |

My kara mandarins are still very green but they are soft to the touch, so I decided to try one...
Mandarins on the plant...
The sample...
Peel came off easily...
Parts separated. No seeds inside...
I think it is safe to say that this is about the best tasting citrus I have been able to grow, although the fruit was still quite soar. Too soar for my wife and daughter, but I liked it! _________________ - Marc

Great pics Marc, the flesh color seems very intense despite the peel.
It is quite normal for a mandarin to have that hint of sourness... Tell your wife that she's nitpicking... |
