I never thougt that aligators live that far north. There can be pretty cold in winter. I thougt they live only in everglades in Florida and in swamps around New Orleans.
The Alligator ranges from Texas to North Carolina. The American crocodile only lives in southern Florida.

Maybe in the future they can adapt to salt water. I heard recently some crocodiles in northern Australia live in oceans, but this are aligators. I hope doctors reattached golfers arm.

That would be the saltwater crocodile. Sometimes the American croc in FL will also go out into salt water, but it is rare for the alligator to go into salt water.

These two lakes are huge & the canal that ties them together is full of huge gators. We fish for catfish in the canal quite ofter & see huge gators every time.
