Last night our temperature in Colorado got down to -19 F (-28 C). The expected temperature for to night is -20 F (-29 C) - The greenhouse heater runs, run, and runs. - Millet |

Presently in Colorado Propane is $5.00 per gallon. This is by FAR the highest price I have ever heard of. This is because the USA's major propane manufactures are exporting much of their production out of the country, thus have caused a domestic shortage. - Millet |

After pruning my inground lemon tree year ago I stick 6 pieces into sandy soil at spot exposed to north, protected from sun and apparently too cold for lemon. No new growth yet, 3 pieces took by phytophthora in autumn.
Now amazing part: 3 are still green, one even has original leaf still attached.
That tells much about past local winter.
Wet period since April, slugs all around.
I saw them never climbing on trees - except citrus
Over 50 slugs removed from Flying Dragon (1+ m tall) 10 days ago. Morton Citrange (1- m tall) lost most of leaves and new growth...
I should rent a duck _________________

Same at my place, never seen so many of them on my citrus. I hope they will leave them alone, once the heat comes. _________________ i am in love with lemon |

Yes. There were many young snails, you can barely see them, but i used to hear some sounds, cracks, whenever i was walking around the house.
At first i did not know what is it, but then i realised i was walking on lots of small snails. _________________ i am in love with lemon |

Adriano. I do not understand what you mean by "small snails".
I'm talking about slugs.
Edit: Small snails here, up to an inch in diameter are beneficial for me.
I put 2 of such on my inground lemon tree. those lick spider mites, eggs... and do no damage of any kind.
Helix pomatia is different story, under invasion of slugs they are rare now and I'm helping them (that was quite different 10 y ago, but then I had no slugs). _________________

misunderstanding. I was thinking about small snails. Unfortunately i removed them from citrus. I did not know they can be useful. _________________ i am in love with lemon |
