in Croatia there are some 1000 bears living in the wilderness. I wonder who wins in croc vs bear fight. fully grown bear 450 kg big vs fully grown croc. The strongest Croatia has vs strongest S. Carolina.

We don't really have many bear here, maybe a few black bears. What we do have is huge wild bore that can really ruin your day. Shocked

Although I haven't heard of any as large as this in SC...

The Croatia bears look like our Grizzly bears.

Oh and then we have these wonderful things... Anyone want to take a guess?

They pop up everywhere. You have to watch where you step or you could have hundreds of bites on your legs. Laughing

The largest pig might be the famous Hogzilla ! Lots of stories about him. He makes the first pictured hog look small. The fire ant mound is the hardest one I have ever seen. I'm sure you know they are native to South America where they are less of a problem than here in US.They first came in on a ship in Mobile Alabama long ago. They continue to spread each year. There are many natural predators where they are from but none in US. We have imported a tiny fly that lays an egg on the neck of a fire ant that decapitates the ant when the fly hatches. It's a biological control.

A friend of mine has a farm near a release site in central Alabama and he said the fly is awesome. Now when he disturbs a mound the ants don't boil out like they used to. They cautiously creep out . Then you see a small cloud almost like no see ums hang over the mound like a wisp of smoke almost. The fire ants then rush back inside the mound. No problems with the tiny fly that I have heard of..... Tom

In South America, they make a crispy hot salad of the fire ants ...
