Nice trees Frank. I remember reading about your setup to keep them frost free in winter, now I see the setup in your pics.
The Thomasville Citraquats look great, how do they taste? Are they good for eating straight off the tree? |

we ate the largest straight off the tree yesterday, it was surprising good
I have eaten the smaller ones and they were fine/ok,not as good or juicy
for the small ones the rine had an aftertaste, for the larger one it didnt
one of the pics has a satsuma that had 25 fruit a few years ago, and only a few this year. They are green and we are picking now before the real cold sets in............. |

Thanks for the tasting info. The Thomasville Citraquat sounds quite good. Are satsumas alternate bearing? Good crop one year, poor the next? I hope your trees survive ok through the winter. When your trees get too big for your current protection methods have you considered building a solar greenhouse?

Thanks for the pictures Frank. Hope the Winter is kind to you and I. Last year she really stuck the knife in deep. _________________ Charles in Pensacola
