Skeeter, that was similar to the idea I proposed earlier to my Agricultural Engineering professors way back in College (more than 25 years ago). But it was also combined with crop drying.

Anyway, I'd be interested to know what brand are they selling these "new" type of room AC. Been looking for this type but could not obtain from the usual sources.

Skeeter,My AC sounds like that. I keep fan to ON (instead of auto) & after cooling, the fan stays on but not as high, to keep air circulating. That's when humidity goes back up. 58% inside is a BIG diff than your outside humidity! I just had thermometer on deck in shade...101* & 48% humid. (seems that H. should be higher)Nice breeze. Inside..78* & 67% humid! It's 110* in sun! I'm staying inside.

It was a cooker today AGAIN. Outside in sun at 11 am was over 125* (thermometer won't go higher) & dew point in 70's, humidity 33%.
Inside sunroom: 99*(shade),.. 50% humidity. In house:78* & 64 - 71% humidity.
Being outside just checking things - in 5 minutes I was soaking wet from sweating. We broke all time record of the highest LOW overnight temp being at 80*. Tomorrow is s'posed to be hotter.

I've been fishing for a few days, so I haven't had time to answer.

I think there are several companies making the new 2 speed units. I know Carrier and Trane do.

We have finally been getting some rain-- but talk about humidity! You can't do anything outside without getting soaked with sweat.

tells ya how much "in the STICKS" I am.. The closest NOAA web site gets to where I live is 45 miles.. LOL Still a cool web site..
88* seems sooo nice.. At least not 100+.. Took long enough to get here.. They said rain.. but only got a couple drops.. my lawn is brown.. Weeds in my garden are about the only green things right now.. LOL Durn weeds!!! Evil or Very Mad Grass growing ON the side walk seems to be doing well also.. Isn't that the way??? Things grow best where you don't want them!!!! LOL
I'm going to "enjoy" the cool down and clean the pond and try to kill some weeds tomorrow.. WEEEEE...
