				| Benny,
Excellent plump fruits you've got there. It should ripen properly inside the house.

Next time, you should cut only down to half the pseudostem of the fruiting plant. There are plenty of food reserves in that stem that can be used to support several pups growing around it. By cutting the pseudostem all the way to the ground, you have reduced the amount of energy reserves that would have been used by your growing pups. The pup that you left behind will be okay, but it has to make all of the food on its own now, and it would take longer time for it to bear fruits.

				| Joe:
Thanks for a very important tip. I am sure a lot of people will benefit from your wisdom.
I will remember that from now on.
Your Dwarf Brazilian should be ready to blossom come Spring time. It has height and and p-stem diameter for support.
I did not post the cut fruit because at close ups it shows its blemish and don't look right compared to the pictures I've seen.
But she had undergone a lot of stress growing up and taking care of her fruit without any help from any leaves for food.

 Laaz:
The fruit is outstanding. There is no comparison from the bananas you buy at the store.
The taste has a tinge of saba but 10 times more creamy and much sweeter. Other than that it just has a taste of its own. I don't even know if CG is a cooking banana but eating fresh it already has me satisfied.

				| I changed my mind. Here's the pic of the CG fruit. All the cracks and the spider webs included.

Imagine these fruit matured only and sustained its food from the p-stems' green bark. That's why it took so long. The leaves were destroyed by the arctic blast last winter. Joe Real advised me not to cut the fruit.

Imagine how long I had to wait from March 13 2007

to November 18 2007

when normally, the waiting time is 4 months give and take 2 weeks. | |

				| Here's a sample of what's to come how I will protect my bananas. I'm bending the leaves of my bananas to protect the p-stem and then soon I will wrap them with canvas or maybe just old newspapers and then clear plastic. I will put a garbage bag liner on top and perhaps Christmas lights on top of the soil.

Please comment if that is a good idea.

				| Benny, Your banana leaves are some of the greenest I have ever seen-- you must really feed them right! _________________

				| Thanks Skeet and welcome back!
Just bags of steer manure is all as recommended by Joe Real.
And occasionally fresh fish blood when I have good catch and pour the washings on my bananas. I also buried the guts of the fish around close to the tree.

				| Benny, if you want Lakatan pups, kindly check your emails. Harvey is going down to see Jon Verdick (pitangadiego) and he has a Philippine Lakatan. Harvey can pick a pup from Jon if you want. He wanted to contact you ASAP, so I gave your number. He will also pick up your award from momoese.
