Thanks Karl, he won't be able to bite me where I grab the trap. Oh the thought of getting bitten... & then rabie shots! Shocked
Reset trap w/ peanut butter --I'm sure there are more nearby.
Well hello Joan! I know lots of ppl that use owls but I don't think they scare squirrels. I hope your neighbor has good luck w/ trapping. If he plans to 'relocate' them instead of killing them, tell him he's gotta take them 20 miles away or they will return!

This won't do much for the tree dwellers but it's a fun way to get rid of the ground dwellers and you don't have to figure out what to do with the bodies. Sorry for posting an ad here but at least it's entertaining.

I can imagine what Bill Murray would have done with one of these in Caddy Shack.

I need to catch rabbits off that are eating the bark off my apple tree, what do you recommend the best course of action? Do they make a silenced .22?

Hi 829, rabbits don't jump or climb so you could just put some chicken wire around the tree. Make sure it is low enough so they don't crawl under. Or, a 22c pellet gun will work. I shot squirrels from my back sunroom. I just open the window & shoot from inside...helps muffle the noise. Sounds like a distant firecracker.

My wife has recommended the chicken wire too. She politely informed me that the rabbits will not be shot. I asked about the birds in the garden and again I was scuttled. She said there is enough out there that my crops will not be affected.

All that means to me, is that I need to dispose of their remains before she gets home. Twisted Evil
