Sylvain your best bet is to grow it out & see what it produces. You are correct, Meyer does not come true from seed.

Laaz,

Have you any info about variegated orangequat? I couldn't find anything useful regarding this variety.

Thanks in advance!

From what I know, some people in FL call the Centennial kumquat a orangequat.

So fast! Very Happy

This is what makes me thinking that could be a kumquat and not orangequat! Rolling Eyes
Please have a look to the photo: http://novenyshop.hu/citrus-unshu-x-fortunella-margarita-centennial-orangequat.html

I'm not 100% sure but from photo seems to be an orangequat. Any thoughts?

It looks normal.

Orangequat is said to be a cross of Satsuma (citrus unshui) and Kumquat.

Price is nice, wished I was in hungary ... Wink

Yes the photo is a normal Centennial kumquat. I don't know how the "orangequat" name came to be. I take some photos tomorrow of mine. I you do a forum search, I believe I posted photos before.

I was wondering how they are selling variegated orangequat because I never hear about.
OK, that's what I want to hear, it's a kumquat and not orangequat,

Thanks Lazz! Wink

Sorry to be a pain, yes indeed I have done some research and it's kumquat. I'm looking for a time after orangequat and it would be a great bonus to get variegated one. Laughing

In Spain and Italy most gardeners now call them Mandarinaquat or Mandarinquat. I realy like the tree it flowers very nice and have plenty of fruits.

Doing research on internet I have found 2 type of variegated satsumas but I couldn't find Miyagawa with fruit. I have added to my satsuma collection a variegated one.
Laaz looking to the fruit form it seems to be Owari, no neck as Miyagawa have. What is your thought? This is my 10th variety of satsuma:

Thanks in advance! Wink

From what I have see of the European variegated satsuma, the leaves are variegated but not the fruit. I think it is listed as Miyagawa on a few different sites.
