Could it be the one I mentioned from Excalibur Fruit tree nursery?

Red Lime trees

The fruit that I saw there was about that size just starting to color but not quite as puffy looking as yours. I think you gave me a seedling of a 'red lime' a few years ago which is doing well but has not fruited yet. I may have my wires crossed but seem to remember you saying it was from Florida.

It looks more like lemon than a lime.
On the french equivalent of this site we already had this discussion and we only agreed that it is NOT Limon rosso:

Hope someone has the answer.

They had a red lemon featured in the CRFG magazine a while back. I'll look it up, but it will be a couple days, as I am right now leaving town with our Corvette club for a weekend in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Will be back on Monday. - Millet

Found it before I left (wife is slow this morning) It is shown in the March & April 2006 issue of CRFG's Fruit Gardener magazine page 10. It says it is a mutation of Eureka discovered in 1993 at a grove in Saticoy , CA. managed by the giant producer Paramount citrus. It is like familiar lemons, except in color, being oblong in shape, with a nipple at the end. - Millet

Andy posted a photo of the Red Lemon from Germany. He sent me seeds, but they were moldy by the time they arrived & none germinated... You can find his post here. link . These look nothing like the fruit above.

Well, we don't know the colour when it's ripe.

The name (in french) of the first picture is "mexican lime"!!! Laughing

Laaz,
That's a beautiful red citrus. When you find out what it is, or even if you don't, I want one.

Here is the answer:
It is called lime from Mexico witch is a different plant than mexican lime.
We have 2 plant left, 50/60 cm high for 35€ each.
It originated from south Europe. It is produced in Italy under the name "Citrus Lemon Rosso".

I presume he meant "Citrus Limon Rosso".

Later I called him on phone and asked why his picture was so different from the Limon Rosso pictures we can find on the net. He answered that he doesn't know but he took the picture on his mother tree and guaranties that what he sales is what is on his picture. He said his fruits are same size and shape than Eureka but turn from yellow to red when ripe.

I ordered one Smile that I will receive next week.

That is what he said, but it's hard to believe...
He must be wrong and maybe it is the mutation of Eureka that said Millet and he even doesn't know!?
