did some cleft grafting of Cara Cara Red Orange, Marisol Clementine, Nova Mandarin last Thursday... use grafting tape then a rubber band in case my cuts were not good the rubber bands shooed hold it together.. my plan is to leave the rubber bands on for 30 days then pull then off (what do you guys think ???) and then 30 day later ( Memorial Day ) pull off the grafting tape off... the graft i did last summer that took do not have new growth on them but the bud are getting fatter and are well held to the root stock .... the weather up here is still cold we don't get to plant our garden till Memorial Day is about our last day of frost .. most years !!! its been colder the normal up here this year.. the tree i did the grafting is still doorment and just showing a little new growth on it now...
thanks for reading and your input ....
