I've been keeping a close eye on my satsuma since I noticed the buds were swelling back in mid March...
Here is a pic from yesterday (4-11-2013). It has finally broken dormancy and is putting on some new growth!
However, only a few of the buds look like this, most still look like the pic from the April 3 update.
Here is the same bud back on 3-24-2013 (apologizes for the blurry pic, I had to dig through my old photos to find one w/ the same branch, then zoom and crop)
I find it interesting that there is this amount of new growth, the soil temps are still relatively cool (generally in the upper 40's the past week with a high reading of 50.3F (~10C) just yesterday. However, the average daily temps in the enclosure have been warmer, with daily averages between 50 and 60F (10-15.5C) over the past week. The air temp has also generally been over 55F (12.8C) inside the enclosure for 8-12 hours per day for most of April.
