We briefly touched 19 this morning just before dawn then stayed in the 20-21 range for about four hours. We've been below 28 since midnight and haven't quite made back above that yet.

Tonight's prediction is only for 27.

.....Alan.

I think it only got down to 21 degrees or so here in northeast alabama. I know it was cold when I left at about 6' this morning. The door to my truck was froze and I had to yank the heck out of it too get it to open.

I think it actually got colder by me last night than it was wednesday night. It definitely finished off any possible surviving blooms and all young growth on my red naval. I am really hoping yesterday was the last really cold night of the season. I am tired of covering things. Especially since the covering seems to provide pretty much no protection.

I just have no idea what to do with 3 or 4 hundred lemons a year. I think I am going to graft different oranges to all but a few of the meyers branches in the spring so I won't be so overloaded with lemons next year.

Send some to me PLEASE! I'll pay you shipping & whatever you want for handeling. All my fruitlets & blossoms fell off of mine recently so it'll be a while for me.

I would send you pretty much every one, but I think these fruit are well past their prime after these freezes. I also don't think it's legal to send fruit out of FL right now.
