I don't want to sound mean and assume you already tried a diplomatic solution but your neighbors are not very cooperative, right? If this is a case, a small life animal trap with cat food inside and 15 km ride to the trapped ones do the trick. I have relocated this way one rat, two cats, about 10 possums, and... one skunk last year. Shocked No regularly occurring poop under my trees anymore.

Good luck!

Its sad you had to do that i would of taken them to a shelter as Strays since those cats cant fend for themselves as wild animals probably gotten eaten and at a shelter if you take them in more then once it is a HUGE FINE So if that helps . i really hate people who do not have respect for others property meaning cat owners as i am a breeder and my cats stay inside while others let theirs run loose and carry disease from place to place . I am sorry that this is happening to you . I hope i do not get buyers for kittens like the people you guys are talking about ,

Westwood,

thank you very much! It is good to know about shelters and fines. Will keep in mind for the next time.

However, after cleaning poo-poo for a year and a half (yeah, every other day...) and 3-4 months of setting the trap each night.. I did not want a smallest chance for that cat to be back to the same owner and poop under my plants again. Besides, cats had no tags on them, so I was not sure whether they did have owners... Finally, I did not bring the animals to the wood or something... there were houses and businesses nearby where they could find a new home. So, I'm sure the cats did not starve to death or were not eaten by wild life. Smile

Good luck with your breeding and citruses! I wish all pet owners were as considerate of others and their own pets as you are.

well, well ...

I understand that you had to do something, but bringing a cat far away from her home can really kill her ...

she is in some panic and may run into a car or get killed by dogs ...

so please take them to a shelter as Westwood suggested next time ...

for the possums and skunks you may catch further a place far away as possible from houses would be best.

skunks surely will not be attrackted by human neighbourhood, but just want to find a way through, but possums just try to find the easy loot (litter) ...
