From what I have been told do not use oils in late fall or winter as it decreases hardiness on citrus.

Superb explanation Laaz! I hope it is also stated in the citrus brochures when dealing with over-wintering pests. But nonetheless, I found a good way to overcome the problem, and I could even apply a lot higher making much better overall pest control for all my fruit trees. It will not work easily for everyone, especially commercial growers, but certainly can be done by most hobbyists who planted citruses outdoors.

Lazz, I'm glad you reminded me-- I have still be spraying oil, but this week we have the first tempertaures that would induce hardening, so I will stop now.
