here are pics of my babies that survived.. flood washed away.. flood over watered... and the drought in the plant room..

white sapote, natal plum, curry leaf tree, pomegranate, persimmon, miracle fruit, bed of nails, and daisy.

coffee, avocado, orange jesmine, star fruit, guava, hoya, bay leaf, and night blooming cereus

Cali. gold banana

Bed of nails, banana truly tiny and little prince, daisy and night blooming cerous

guava, calamondin orange

ausie whatisit, eureka lemon, kimbro Satsuma, Early Satsuma and various root stocks..

loquat, cherimoya, and FD root stock

avocado seedlings..

citrus that did not survive the excess rain were already not in best of health.. still not sure what all floated down the river.. I thought I had put every thing up high enough but know that a few things were lost where I put the avocado.. don't remember what all was put there other than the avocado.. I do know a couple of root stocks are missing, but as I am currently out of the grafting game thanks to broken hand they will not be missed for a while.. the only things lost because of lack of water in the plant room were seedlings..
I will be looking for good homes for some of the avocado seedlings.. any one needing avocado seedlings let me know..

Gina,
Good to hear from you again and see all of your plants. I would love to adopt one of your avacodo's, just let me know what you need for all your hard work! Hope your hand is on the mend and your neighborhood is coming back to some sort of normal. The weather up here this summer has been great growing for all my trees, they think they are in Florida! Take care of you! Shocked

Glad to see you had a lot of survivors. How did the grafted trees do?

Skeet,
none of the citrus trees I have grafted made it..
though the pecan and persimmon I grafted to my mom's trees are doing fantastic..

By next spring I hope to make a grafting come back..

What variety is your pecan? Does Elliot grow well there? That is my favorite pecan-- I have 5 Elliot grafts in my yard, 4 are from the 4 flap banana grafts and on is a bark graft on a large tree.

What variety is your persimmon? Joe sent me Jiro and Izu, both grafts survived.

Sorry to hear about all of your citrus grafts not making it.

skeet,
I think the pecan is caddo.. I think there were 3 or 4 that I did that made it.. I don't know how well it will do here but I'm hopping it will do well..
I'm not sure about the persimmons.. I can't find my notes on what was grafted.. I think I left the list at mom's.. 7 or 8 different varieties done.. only 4 or 5 made it.. so far... this time next yr will tell how well the grafts will survive...

no fruit at all this yr.. between the late freeze and the excess of bugs that the flood caused we are glad the trees are still alive at all..
Bark grafting was done on both the pecan and the persimmons.. thought on the pecan was Texas bark inlay.. meaning a few extra steps..

The Cal Orange in the center of this pic is a rooted cutting from Twiggie..

It was in a 4 in. pot and I repotted it in to the air root pruner.. when I did I had to cut off over 50% of the roots that had started to circle the bottom of the pot.. here it is about a month later and there has been no leaf loss!!!

Gina:
I noticed most of your plants are thriving really well inside your house.
I was never a success doing that. And I tried many times. Bugs always kill them.
What's your secret?
