I think not, citrus aurantium "salicifolia" is a different plant. For example c. aurantium "salicifolia" has pointed - sharp end of leaves.
Citrus sinensis "Varia" is popular as curiosity in collections in Czech and Slovak Republic.
Description from catalogue:
'Varia" is very old, most likely Italian variety, with distinctive, willow-shaped leaves (just like C. limon Salicifolia or C. aurantium Abers Narow Leaf). |

As are Abers narrow leaf. If left on the tree for a very long time, they may become sweeter, but they are still a sour orange. I will get some photos of mine later today. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Mr. Broza from Czech Republic, who has both - c. aurantium var. Salicifolia and c. sinensis var. Varia said, that those are (for 100 percent ) different plants. |

c. aurantium var. Salicifolia is a willow leaf with much shorter leaves, Abers is very different and the only citrus I know that has the very long leaves like yours. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Until now I thought, that Abers narrow leaf is just synonym for Salicifolia. If you can, please post pictures of Abers leaves. Especialy end of Varia leaves is different from "Salicifolia" leaves. In Menton citrus collection is citrus labeled "Doublefine améliorée", ressembling our citrus "Varia". Maybe Varia is another clone with sweet fruits. |

Abers narrow leaf. Like I said this is the ONLY citrus that I know of with this type leaf.
The fruit is sweeter than most sour oranges, but definitely not sinensis. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

I believe that is what you have. I had a larger tree in the yard, but it was in too much shade so I budded this one & removed the large one.
Again, I don't know of any other citrus with these leaves. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Hi Radoslav,
I am looking for some budwood off your plant so I can graft my own. Would you be able to send me some? I live in England and will pay by paypal any costs for postage and the cost of the budwood.
Thanks
Alan |
