Here are the photos I took from the 2009 Citrus Expo:
Vendor Area
Plenty of good plants to spend your money on. Remember to leave yourself enough to pay for the registration and lunch!
The Registration Table
The Lecture Room
It was a bit small for the number of folks who sat in so they flowed into the porch to the rear.
Chief Talker
I don't know who this homely looking fellow was, but he sure did talk a lot! {laughing}
Sherry Aultman of Clemson University
She gave us a nice presentation about the state's efforts to detect and eleminate Citrus Greening in South Carolina.
Ryan Atwood of the University of Florida
Gave a good presentation on citrus culture for the home owner, especially nutrient needs and disease prevention.
Sour Orange, Trifoliate, and Ichangensis Hybrids all on one table
Sour Orange Winner
Lemons
Lemons Winner
Kumquats & Hybrids
Kumquats Winner
Sweet Oranges
Sweet Oranges Winner
Limes & Trifoliate Hybrids on the same table
Limes Winner
The Seed Spitting Contest!
I tell you Stan is a cruel man. Do you know what fruit he gave those poor folks for the contest? Swingle Citrumelo! {laughing}
The Line Up
The winner Bob McCartney getting his prize from Stan
That's it for tonight. Need to finish packing so we can get on the road (again!) tomorrow. If there are any mistakes I'll correct them when I come back. I have a few photos of Moore Farm and some of the conference attendees that I did not post here if anyone is interested.

I'm sorry to say the slip of paper I had all of the winning variety names on has gone missing. You can see a few of the names in the photos if you look closely.
The names of the people who won can be found in Stan's post here: link
I'm sure we have at least one person here who has the list of winning variety names. Maybe they'll post it.

Stan asked me to post some of the photos I took at Moore Farm. I only took a relative few to be sure I had adequate memory to shoot the citrus expo.
The fire tower.
Originally sited in the nearby town of Olanta the farm owners had it moved to the farm site where it serves as a great orientation fixture for finding your way around. The base of the tower is in the background of several photos of this year's expo.
Door prizes.
A few of the door prizes given away at the end of the expo.
Farm layout. A map of the farm layout. Not all parts were open for us to visit, but they did give a tour of the greenhouse. They have a formal herb garden that was very pretty.
Some of the farm staff. The ones I spoke with were very knowledgeable.
Pitcher plants. Between the building the lectures were given in and the fire tower there was a nice stand of several species of pitcher plants.
Another pitcher plant variety
Another expo mystery man
The farm pond. I couldn't get the whole thing, but it was all nice.
More of the pond.
The rest of the photos would not clean up enough to do anything with.
