I've been eatin Miho satsumas for a few days now. Sweet with thin easily peeled yellow rind. No seeds found yet. I'm leaving them on for a while longer to let them get a little sweeter. My seedless Kishu are not ready yet. My Rio Red will be ready after January though they are already quite large. Looking forward to some blood oranges and ujukitsu lemons about then also.

My St. Ann is starting to color up. I tried one last week, but it was still tart with only a touch of sweetness.

From yesterday:

This year my two Owari Satsumas seemed to take a year off, well, one has five huge fruit on it, about the size of naval oranges instead of the palm sized fruit I usually get on these.

They are just now starting to yellow up.

Ate two Xie Shan. They are still not sweet and somewhat watery. Maybe next year!

So your Xie Shan are large. I thought there was something wrong with mine.

Nice pics. I harvested a bunch of Key limes on Sunday and have a few Meyer's Lemons about ready. Kumquats are ready as well but I hardly count them, second easiest tree you can grow I think. Oh and some end of season Brown Turkey Figs(far better tasting than Celestial).

Tasted:
Hamlin - Taste not there yet juicy but flavor neutral
Fremont - not bad not as sweet as I would like acid about right
Xie Shan - still no taste but easily the most prolific fruiter in the garden
Fina Sodea - Getting better but not sweet
Meyer Lemon - Starting to turn and the wife loves them

Picked an owari, almost there, not tart, but not yet sweet. Skin was still a little tight.

My Meyers are pretty much there.

My Owari are about like Skeeters, there is just a bit of sweetness to them. After wasting 700 last year I'll take any sweetness I can get.

Saint Ann were not ready yet, though the tree is young that's probably mostly at fault.

My sunburst are coloring up well, weren't ready last I checked

My Calamondins have been ripening up nicely for the past three weeks. I have come to enjoy the sharp acidic taste of these little powerhouses.

My very first Wash. Naval is ripening up slowly....just showing a hint of orange....only one and it is quite large.

I have 6 Juanita tangerines that are quite green and hard at this time; nowhere near ready to pick.

I have two Persian limes that have yellowed up; They remain on the tree at this time.

We tasted another Xie Shan today. This is the very first crop on that tree. The fruit was excellent: sweet and juicy, much better than an average satsuma and quite larger too! If it still will improve over years, I will stick Xie Shans in every corner!! Laughing

I've finally begun picking Owaris, and might try a Sunburst soon; I also had one Duncan (picked by the squirrels) two weeks back that, while still fairly green, already had good flavor.
