After reading all the post on these problems I feel fortunate to live in an area where I can grow in the ground. My best 2 trees I have had in the ground since 1985. In the fall of 1993 they were moved from Nederland Texas to Lumberton TX with no problems.

I live in Pflugerville (outside of Austin) but unfortunately the soil around my house is clay like. I don't trust that I can dig a big enough hole to make up for it.

Either way this isn't going to be my last home so I want to take my babies with me when we buy our next house.
