Laaz:
It is true that my satsumas and some of my citrus bloom 3 or 4 times a year. All I can attest to are some fruits are ready to harvest, some are green the size of plums and again there are flowers on the tree. My Washington is just like that too. Right now I have a few ready to harvest, there are about 10 that are about tthe size of 3/4 baseball and now it has a profussion of flowers. I am not planning to remove the fruits and flowers with this one.
But now it is too late to do anything now with my oros, pomelos and a bunch of mandarins because I removed most of its fruits all big and small and the unbloomed flowers. I left a few on some of my citrus however.
I also trimmed the branches that are growing sideways and that are touching the ground. In other words it is prunning time and shape my citrus the way I want them to look at maturity.
What I need is space. I have too many of them.

Laaz, you might be right about Satsumas, I don't know, as I have never pulled the blooms off any of my Satsumas. The only tree that I have ever pulled the blooms off, in order to obtain maximum tree growth, is the Marisol Clementine that is currently planted in the ground in the greenhouse. I de-bloomed the Marisol last January, so all that I can say, is that since last January until now, no new blooms have returned. A second flush started on March 22, 2006. I believe this flush will be a vegetative flush, but if there are any blooms I will pull them also. I will post to this thread if some flowers appear on the second flush. - Millet
