I have mine in the same soil medium that I have my citrus in. Its kept moist but not overly. dragon fruit plants do love their water. a cool little test... put a cup of water a few inches from the plant... the plant will grow to the water. It will also grow to other plants and drink their water source.

I definatly wont cut it, might look at the soil make sure for some reason it didn't get overly packed somehow.

MY dear friend Patty ..

Was the Orchid Question addressed to me ?

Here grins http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/2482/may25389cv.jpg

that was just 1 rooted plant 2 yrs ago now there are 75 roots and a 2 g pot i need to transplant about 8 of my orchids this yr .. mostly Cymbidians and 1 chantilly Lace...

Orchids are the same they need air i normally water from the bottom as well as fertilize from the bottom i lost my first orchid my daddy gave me just befor passing being an idiot and watering from the top with normal soil.. I cut the roots growing from the top .. an Orchid master taught me and thats why i am on several tropical groups .. to learn ..Tammy

Hi guys,

Someone said they are growing the dragonfruit in the same mix as citrus...is that CHC? I just got one and potted in a "rich" cactus mix to start.

I said that I used the same mix, but I dont use chc's. I have a well draining mix made up of pine bark, peat, percolite, little potting soil
