There have been dozens of people that have been unable to register since Feb. It looks like when a new prospective member signs up their username appears temporarily on the user list pending validation. If the account is not approved after a certain number of days, then it is deleted automatically. This is why there is a over a two month gap in the list of new members (between Feb 12 and April 19). I would say all members with a sign up date of Feb 12 or earlier were approved by Laaz. This corresponds very well with the date of Laaz's last post on Feb 15.

pagnr & Tom, no their are many additional names that have applied for membership but unfortunately were never activated and those names are no longer listed because they were never activated and their names were eventually removed from the list. - Millet

Hold tight, folks. I've had a chance to chat with Laaz. He's had some health issues, and hopefully he'll be feeling a bit better, shortly. Please be understanding and give Laaz a bit of time to feel better

Laaz, in case you read this....get better soon! Do you need seafood from Maine to aid in the healing process?

So Patty did he say the forum will continue?

Did he give you a time frame?

Did you discuss an alternative fail safe to keep what has happened from happening again?

I am not advocating anything illegal but was hoping that at some point the owner would allow it if he decided to not participate any longer.

It would only be illegal if the owner did not allow it.

Hooserquilt, you say the excuse was illness, the last time I talked to him the excuse was to busy. I think it is actually tired of it all, and wants to be left alone. - Millet

I did offer to assist in any way I could, as well as offered up allowing other trusted moderators to assist him, so we'll see. When you have health issues, they need to take top priority. As wonderful and fantastic as this forum is, we always have to remember to keep our priorities in line. And, someone's health and family will always come first. Let's exercise some patience and see if Laaz is able to devote a little time perhaps identifying a few folks who can help with new membership approvals and a few other list duties. So, hold tight everyone, and for now, enjoy this forum as well as the Citrus sub-forum on the tropicalfruits.com forum. You're all great folks, we have such a great relationship and love for citrus, I'd hate to see that fall apart.

Another issue is software, as far as I remember Laaz was very upset with software problems after server migration and I have to say that those problems are still there!
