I just took a picture of my shinesheke pear that was grafted to my Asian pear and it is her 2nd year of flowering. Last year the fruit did not stay on the tree. I hope this year it will.

I don't know if they flower first before they turn to fruit. I kept watching them for signs of flowers but
when I was gone for 3 days here's how it looks like:

Here's my Satsuma Plum and the grafted green gage plum ( yellow fruit) only a year old graft and the satsuma almost ready to be picked. As of 7 10 06. Notice there are two grafts of green gage one on top and one at bottom. I have others too but not shown in the picture.

And here's my guava at close ups. Notice the budding flowers. It's all over the tree.

I am amazed how fast these grafts grow.
You just sleep one night and the next morning you see all kinds of new buds sprouting. So don't blink your eyes forthey can do some amazing things.
They have all kinds of surprises for you. That's why I am hooked!
They keep you in suspended surprises.
