I seem to recall that commercial Florida Citrus growers spray or apply Imidacloprid four times a year.

They will show up on each flush of new growth if not sprayed when the new growth starts.

More likely 996 fly away. That is actually typical ladybug behavior---they quickly disperse far. If you don't have anything for them to eat (which is a good thing) obviously they won't hang around either. Which of course means if you are going to use beneficial insect control rather than poisons then you must allow some pests for the prey. Also, ladybugs don't like temps above 90F. So around here ladybugs are early and late and lacewings in between. If you leave garden refuse overwinter next to the composing area you can get ladybugs to overwinter fairly readily.

I'm seeing CLM on my trees now. I typically spray the new growth with spinosad on smaller trees and growth on new grafts.

OK Here is my top secret plan. I ordered all my neighbors Ladybugs. They will release them and 90% will leave their yard and come to mine.

Just a little humor to help deal with Monday morning!

these summer i tried to fight leafminers using coffee ground. It did not work. At least it is useful as fertilizer.

How often or when did you use it?

It will not last 6 months like it says.

I use it the beginning of June, and again in early August.

Thank you,

I think to me that would be the last week of April and the first week of July. I'll try that next year.
