How exciting, Harvey! I agree with Laaz and Dave, here in California, at that age of tree, if it's not a Eureka, chances are it's a Lisbon, especially if it's rather thorny. Lisbons were very popular here in California in the '60's. Betcha it's a Lisbon. I'd love to have some budwood from you too!!

Sorry for the size of the picture. I cannot change it because it is not mine.

Hi Sylvain,

There are free websites which can help. The site below is a fabulous tool for working with pictures online or on your computer.

The original photo was 2000 Kb in size, the new image is 30 Kb. I may be a terrible gardener, but I am pretty darn good at computers and finding useful things:

I wrote to Dr. Tracy Kahn to ask if there might be any interest or value in this sport. Even if I can't get rich (!) off of it, maybe I could get famous. LOL

Well, she said they've already got a couple of variegated lemons that produce edible fruits and there is minimal acreage devoted to them so she suggested that I just preserve it for my own fun.

All these regulations about citrus movement has me a bit concerned. I do have a nursery license but only propagate citrus for my own enjoyment. What's a person to do? I think I need to put this onto a couple of other branches on the same tree first and see how it produces.
