It does have wicked thorns. The fruit is 18 ft up in the air, I had to climb on the fence to get a decent shot.

There are some variegation that only shows up on fruits even, but I think here it is just that the variegation just started and will develop more and more.

This is true, I have a variegated sour orange that produces many variegated fruit but rarely has variegated leaves.

No, it's a Yuzu. Barbara they are very dark green this time of year. This is one I grew from seed & gave to my neighbor because I had no room for it in my yard. He is a scape goat, I give him all the trees I don't have room for. Laughing

Oh, to be your neighbor! So the green in the fruit will likely yellow as the fruit matures. It is just stunning right now.

So how a seedling can be a chimera ???

How said Socrates ?
I know, that I know NOTHING ...

Yes it will probably turn all yellow when it ripens.

I don't know about chimera. It is weird, it will have a flush of variegation & then the next flush is green, then another flush of variegation. Shocked

I took a budstick today & grafted a few. Will have to wait and see what it produces.

Swiss orange does same.

Then you have no shades of green and white, but just white spots at leafes and the stripes on the fruit lay OVER the other skin under ...
