Westwood knows what Im talking about! I actually had purchased crates, not "illegal" milk crates, but its the same deal. theyre light and strong and they stack, so you can put them together and make shelving uints, tables, and desks out of them. I was a bit wound up last night Very Happy
Im still using some piecemeal crappy furniture, as a recent college grad

Sorry Garnet, I was a little wound last night too! Yes, I remember those days too. My first coffee table was a cardboard box!! My first real furniture was anything that someone else threw out.
I didn't know milk crates were illegal?? The old "milkman" used them to deliver milk to homes (ahh yes, I still remember those days!) and now seems no one wants them. I use them all the time.

Oh my goodness.. I had a "crate" bedroom BC (before children).. Even my bed was up on crates!! Not sure where my dad got all the crates but I think I counted over 40 of the metal ones!! Bed, Shelves, Desk ( old door cut down and put on top of stacked crates), chairs.. Had a bunch stacked as a dresser even.. I don't recall that I had a lick of "real" furniture in my room at that time.. I still have two of them my oldest son keeps books in them.. Man has my bedroom come along way since those days.. I just put finishing touches on my "princess bedroom".. if anyone is interested in seeing how far my "crate bedroom" has come in 20 yrs...
