Try locating them free first. Look for new apartment complex & strip malls. The landscapers usually have quite a few & will give them to you...

Stuewe & Sons, Inc. carries actual TREE POTS, these are deep containers, specially manufactured for containerized trees. I have purchased all of my pots from them for some time. Their web site is www.stuewe.com and their Email is info@stuewe.com. They have a toll-free telephone number 1-800-553-5331 - Millet

Well, I just asked a quote on a few flats (I need some heavy duty non-disintegrating flats for my veggies!) and some smaller pots for my seedlings. we'll see!

Garnet, I bought a bunch of tall tree pots from Stuewe (Millet's link above). Go there & look. I repotted almost all my seedlings in the 4" X 14" tall pots. They are very reasonably priced too. 9 pots fit in standard milk crates & I can get 12 into the bigger ones -- keeps them from falling over. I have pots from them all the way up to 8 gal. If you can't get crates, I'd put all the pots together (just the 4" ones) & tie nylon string around all to keep them from falling over. In the long run, they save space.

You can order 1 or 1,000 LOL. They are good to deal with - nice people.
Those "crates" they sell there are same size as my milk crates made of plastic & lite weight. I got lucky & got mine for free.

see college student, poor. crates are perfect for moving heavy items like textbooks, and if you have a piece of plywood or a few planks, they become desks, tables, or shelving units. this has been a presenatation of oh, youre serious? i can buy real furniture now? aka recent college grad
