What do you do with your trees during the winter, Ryan? They look great! |

Thank you both.
Stephen, In the winter I bring them into a modified insulated shed with large windows. With low temps and less direct light they go dormant for our 4 month winter and do pretty well. I keep strict control on temperature, humidity, and bugs during the winter. Ive also found that winter is one of the most critical times to let the soil dry between waterings. |

Your trees look great. The key lime should flower & fruit throughout the year. Mine started producing fruit the second year from seed & is always in bloom and / or fruit. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! Ill continue to post photos as the season continues.
Laaz, is there a more vigorous citrus variety then key lime? it seems like its always flushing, flowering & fruiting, what a fun citrus to grow. (even though the fruit is moderately useful ) |

I drink Corona, so the fruit is always useful...
Also Key lime pie goes over well at my house.
I don't know about more vigorous, Calamondin produces a load of fruit every year. Great fruit for grilling. Steaks and fish are fantastic when grilled with fresh squeezed Calamondin juice. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Those are very beautiful citrus plants! Much better than most of my potted citrus. |
