I just recieved two citrus from them. They where very healthy!
A Blood orange 2.5" pot, 6" tall and a Ponderosa 4" pot, 15" tall. The Blood O. had new growth all over and the P. lemon has a flowering branch sprouting! What a way to enjoy a cold Jan...Mantis212 |

I saw them, but their prices are SO good... I was wondering if the quality was good (I bought some inexpensive small-potted citrus from a popular online place, and they DID live, but they looked like heck when I got them)
How is Fortunella hindsii "Dwarf Kumquat"? they look cute, but ive also heard that quats dont always have a long life on their own roots.
Glad you were happy with your purchase! |

Garnet, you said something about some small potted Citrus from a popular online site. What site is that? You can e-mail me off forum if you don't want to post here.

I would just like to say that Byron Martin from Logees just sent me two very nice "Variegated Tiger Navel" plants. Don't know if they are the same as the California variegated Cara Cara or not, but very healthy nice grafted plants. I don't know if these are available on the website yet, but they look very promising.

Hi Everyone...
Just discovered this site today, I'm in my glory
love Citrus trees. I have been dealing with Logees for over 20
years, I used to drive from NYC for three in the half hours just
to shop there , they have a Ponderosa Lemon Tree in their
greenhouse that's over 100 years old. They have a new citrus
called Sunquat , check it out...
Cheers...Joe.. |

Glad to hear the glowing reviews. I was very interested in their oddball varieties, but 2.5 inch pots sounded tooooo small!

I see that they mention they have 'Meyer' "Meyer Lemon", not "Improved" Meyer. Is there a difference. I thought the Improved was better.

Meyer and Improved Meyer are now one and the same, statistically speaking. The Improved Meyer is a virus free version of the original Meyer that was discovered and verified many years ago in some backyard. Millet has a nice history post about it somewhere in the forum. It served as the budwood source material and Improved Meyer lemon was derived from the virus free version. No one I know has been propagating the original Meyer, so people at retail nursery, when they say Meyer, it is implied that it is Improved Meyer. |

Hi Vinny, I remember Laaz was rooting several cuttings of Meyer so maybe he can sell you one. Just PM him...all he can do is say no.
I have a grafted one & one rooted from a cutting & the cutting is doing much better - lots of lemons, while none on the grafted one. _________________ Patty

I bought a meyer lemon, persian lime, and blood orange from logees and they all look like they were grown from cuttings. I could use them to graft onto some trifoliate seedlings though. I looked at there root system and they don't have tap roots so maybe they weren't stupid enough to plant them as seeds. |
