In 1994 I visited Belize 3 times to do 3000 t-buds. The natives were cutting bread wrappers into budding strips and they worked fine. They had never seen any regular budding and grafting tape. A couple of rolls were gave to them and they really appreciated the modern tape

I remeber reading about that!
I dont know if the story was about you, but on some sustainable ag website story they were talking about installing grafted citrus groves using just bread-bag strips.

Buddinman emailed me several months ago & told of his trip to Belize & the bread bag strips. This was after I posted if I could use plumbers or electrical tape for grafting. I told of his story of the bread bags here somewhere. He also said not to use electrical tape LOL. I finally broke down & bought grafting tape.
