Thanks guys... I'm working on insulating the rear wall right now, I'll post more pictures once complete.
One open question is whether to paint the floor white for light reflection or black for heat retention. |

If possible I'd tile it with a medium darkness tile. Would give a bit of thermal mass from the cement board and tiles as well as give a good surface for keeping clean. Not sure how much mass your floor can handle, though. |

The upmost important item inside any greenhouse is LIGHT. In the ranks of importance to plants, light is many times more important than heat. - Millet |

Okay thanks...I will paint it with exterior white.
The floor should be able to hold substantial weight, the flooring weight isn't an issue just the color.
I am planning to use foamboard insulation for the rear wall which has a shiny foil face and should handle any condensation without rotting. |

My question is, what seals between the 4x8 sheets to keep it from leaking? _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

A metal frame that is specially made to fit the polycarbonate sheets. Both sides of the frame has a channel that the polycarbonate glazing fits into. The channel also has a little extra space that allows the polycarbonate to expand and contract according to the daily temperature and the season. - Millet |

This is fascinating, Brian. How will you handle condensation? And, where are you putting access (stairs)? Look forward to more photos! _________________ Patty S.
