Visited a friend today, he lives around the corner from the Rusk citrange tree I get fruit from every year. All I can say is I'll have no shortage of rootstock. I'll get a photo up tomorrow. Laughing

Forgot to ask, have you ever tasted one of these? I read they are the least disgusting tasting citrange, and almost edible. Any truth to that?

Laaz,

please, forgive my ignorance but how does Rusk compare to Poncirus? What, in your experience, are its advantages and disadvantages? Hardiness, vigor...

Thank you!

Laaz, whether Rusk Citrange is a good root stock all depends where one plants the tree. Rusk is rated poor for salinity, high pH soils, wet soils, drought, and poor to only intermediate for freezes. However it is rated tolerant to citrus nematode, foot and root rot, xyloporosis and tristeza, but susceptible to exocortis. So it would be OK in some areas and not OK in other areas, all depending in what location and soil type the tree is planted . But this is true with most all rootstocks types. - Millet

It is much faster growing than poncirus. I am using it for my container trees and have found no problems with it so far.
