We don't get a freeze down here most years until Jan. The fruit is all harvested before Christmas. The trees themselves are hardy to our climate. We only drop to the lower 20's on cold winters & some winters only drop to the 30's here.

Gorgeous, Laaz! I love the variegated Hamlins, how pretty they are! What does this variety taste like, in comparison to other oranges? My gosh, you have a glut of satsumas, lol! And are those Clemnules really that dark orange? They look nearly fluorescent.

Patty the Hamlin's are juice oranges & are very good.

Yes the Clems are actually that color & are super sweet. My neighbor has been coming over and stealing a couple every day. Laughing

That's right, I remember reading that Florida will use the Hamlin when the Valencia is not available for making orange juice. Love how pretty the fruit is, love to be able to grow this tree, just for its beauty. What a nice bonus to get striped fruit that tastes so good! Your neighbor is lucky to have you for his next door neighbor Very Happy
