Whatever chemicals that are used to supply the calcium and magnesium, be sure to keep the ratio in a 2:1 calcium/magnesium, or a 1:1 ratio. - Millet

Thanks Tomm, I appreciate the info & motivating you to get out your old school book LOL.
I have a friend who is grinding up old drywall to put in his plants for "gypsum" because drywall is GYPSUM. Drywall powder for gypsum? Is this any good? A source for gypsum?
Also, I just found a old (2 yrs) "care of citrus'" from Jene's Tropicals & it says to use fert 4-6-8 with minor elements.
Citrus need more nitrogen..I've been using 24-8-16. Why would they suggest this being citrus growers? Shocked Maybe after fruiting is done & they need more potash?

Patty, look once again to see if the "Jene's old (2 yrs) care of citrus'" information that you found is talking about very young trees that are planted in the ground. Young trees planted in the ground are frequently fertilized with formulas such as 6-6-6 or 8-8-8 for the first year or two. - Millet
