I appreciate that Boudalou and yes the tree is relatively old especially for a surviving citrus tree in Virginia. This tree has seen a lot of freezing weather. Dr Bob grafted it and planted it in his yard nearly 25 years ago. I imagine it would be even larger if it wasn't grafted on flying dragon and the fact that it is multigrafted. I actually cropped out the section where ClemYuz 3-3 is grafted on the other shared trunk extending out to the side.

I forgot to add a picture of cut sections of the fruit.

Also interesting to see they've used several of my pictures taken from my website! If anyone asks to use pictures, I always permit for non-commercial sites - but they really should ask first!

eyeckr, this is huge tree of kumquat. never seen kumquat of that size.

what sort is this below? meiwa or nagami? I only know it is not the round one. It has oblong fruits.

That kumquat looks like a Nagami to me.
