Tarocco is generally regarded as the best tasting blood orange, but much depends on where it is grown. Moro seems to be the least fickle.

I tasted tarocco oranges for the very first time last winter, and I can confirm they were delicious! Now I want a tarocco tree! Laughing
Not that I will be able to grow great tasting tarocco oranges in the climate I live in, but at least I will have the three major blood orange varieties in my collection! Wink (moro, sanguinelli and tarocco)

Now, there's another (half) blood orange that is said to be delicous: the maltaise demi sanguine. How does it compare with tarocco? Anyone tried both?

I know, but I'm not sure Smith blood valencia is available here in Europe. Never seen it anyway... Rolling Eyes

...and now that we're talking about blood, I would also love to have a valentine pomelo. But I've never seen that in Europe either...
