If we are speaking of CHC , I always had a problem with bare roots on citrus trees.
I've received a lemon tree , washed the roots of the soil that it had and then I poted the tree in a mix of CHC , so here is the problem , how can you put CHC inside the roots because it is a little tricky , and without damaging the roots at all.

The plain soil just goes naturally on all the gaps.
