Ethan, I know of NO disease incidence in California that is spread via budding so far, at least here in the north. But there are some trees affected by Tristeza in the south. The other common diseases are in the roots. So it is quite a safe bet to get budwood from nearby healthy trees. As if they have diseases, even if your trees are clean, you'll get them soon too.

But as a paranoid like me, I'd be ordering from UCR CCPP.

The budwoods are certified disease and pest free. I just pushed my order last week because there are new items listed and want to make sure I'm one of the first few ones to get them. It is a first-come first served basis.

for the peace of mind about disease and the budwood link, wow, what a selection they have. Probably not as many selections as you have, but they are trying.
