Now that everyone is so concerned about global warming, it seems like these cold waves are hitting us more often.

Well the new theory with the science geeks is that the earth is in the latter stages of a ice age. Thus the slow melting of the polar caps. The rebirth giant cold blood animals (democrats).

Yes, but you are farther north & inland so it is to be expected. I haven't had to wear a jacket yet this winter. Mad

You are near Durham correct?

I will gladly volunteer to take all of your cold weather (CA and southeast) if I can ship my weather back to Canada! Laughing

Actually winter has been tame here so far... but it looks like that is set to change in the next couple weeks.

Laaz, you better stay inside...now that you're a South Carolinian that kind of temp could kill you faster than it could harm your citrus!!!

So far we haven't gone below -5 F this year, so it's been a pretty warm winter.

Well, I think the cold air mass has finally moved east. Time for some "Chamber of Commerce" weather!!!! Hurray!!!!! This is the final graph I will post (for now) showing the history and low temps. The 17 degrees two nights ago set a record for low temps (the last was in 1971).

Time to go and unwrap the trees!!!!!!!

Good luck to those east of us Smile

Peter
