I honestly can't say with certainty about that Laaz, but since a school nurse in California (and most states) can take a girl to have an abortion without the permission of her parents, I imagine they can do this also. I did read somewhere that the gay marriage education would be mandatory and that parents would not have an option of having their children removed from the classroom for those sessions.

Phillip, I"m not trying to chase you out of California (we need you!), but it's not looking too good when crazy stuff like this happens:

I'm praying prop 8 passes...

I'm sure Prop 8 would pass if it was left to San Diego to vote on, but I've seen measure after measure solidly pass here only to be defeated once all the votes are counted up north.

Anyway, I'm not leaving yet. The battle will follow me wherever I go. Once they make it mandatory that parents who homeschool their children must teach behavior that I view as being unacceptable, I will be pitching a tent at Millet's place.

The hell it would be ! Not as long as I'm alive. All I can say is CA is really losing it... Time for some major change out there.

Hey, Laaz, I think we lost it a long time ago. But, being the generous sharing kind of guy I am, I've given you Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the House! Wink If it wasn't so sad, one could really laugh about how crazy it is. One has to wonder if the occassional earthquake is the Almighty trying to shake some senses into folks! If so, He seems to have a pretty good aim....

Glad the teacher unions know how to spend their members' money....NOT!

Very few California teachers seem to know about this and blindly throw their money away:
