In a pinch I have used Saran wrap instead of parafilm on cleft grafts with reasonable success.

Thanks I will tey it also I like the idea of using Plummer tape and masking tape.i understand that i gives very good results.

Hi.
Again over the weekend i tried on 3 different rootstock.
This time i did it Joe's way, using rubber band with a second taping.
i did both the Cleft and the "T" type grafting.
i took pictures but having problems getting them uploaded.

My preferance is the chip budding tape. It is clear 2 ml. It has to be removed in about 3 weeks..

after all this time am having the same problems,
no success, i wish it was possible to hook up with some one in Florida to show me a thing or two in budding. yes Florida as i will be there soon.

Your not allowed to propagate citrus using any manner of propagation in the state of Florida. That being said, I'm sure some people do, but it is illegal. - Millet

i tried again but i now use the milk from a rubber tree to seal the joints, hoping it works.

Charllo,

I am using this tape for both t-budding and clefts:

I did try Teflon and something else before with zero success.
