I'm mum about talking about pups.
I just started growing bananas and all of my plants are but pups except 2.
I have a California Gold that I bought last November (my first known banana plant)but it only has one pup that grew. I will save that for the next generation of my plants. Hopefully it should bear more but it is too soon to know.

Benny, I think Jeff Earl's CG is throwing off 4-5 pups this spring. I can't really remember right now since I looked at so many other things when I visited his place the other day. One thing blew me away when looking at his CG: he pointed out where his first CG was planted in his yard and his current mother plant is about 10 feet away, all because he has sold or given away pups from the front, back, and left so his plant's location has continually moved to the right.

Hi all, I'm new to these forums so please excuse me for jumpimg in on this thread. Just wanted to say that here in Thailand we use chc for everything, including citrus and it works really well. Just so that you know, I'm not Thai, just living here and I've found it really interesting as to how they grow things here.

Will be glad to help with anything if I can.

Thanks Laaz

I'm just starting off with my interest in citrus so as you can imagine, I've lots to learn. The reason I mentioned the spoilt milk is I love kaffir limes and so many locals grow them here in Thailand so I started asking about for growing tips and one common tip that kept coming up was to feed with spoilt milk. Having lived here for a while now, I find it quite strange because fresh milk is not a very popular drink here in the first place. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if the real pros on here get any results with it and hopefully they can let me know just how true it is.

Good to be a member on here and loving it already.
